Tess went to a birthday party today for her friend Sage. It was a SPArkling party complete with face panting, nail polishing (Tess came home with "rainbow" nails), hair-doing, and sugar eating! She looked so cute I just had to take a picture. Tess LOVES everything butterfly these days! (Thanks Chao-yi!)

St. Patrick's Day
Last Saturday I took the kids to their first ever St. Patty's Parade. Dan had to work so it was just the four of us. The kids did great staying right with me, I get a little paranoid about losing them when I'm out in crowds on my own. Tess and I LOVED seeing all the Irish Dance companies. She told me that is what she "hasto do". She has the red curly locks for it! It brought back fun memories of Folk dancing and my Irish dance class at BYU, ah the good'ol dancing days!
St. Patrick's Day started out with Lucky Charms for breakfast and then off to school and party's. Jake was really excited to get to school to see if the traps they had set for the leprechauns had worked. Sadly they didn't but man did those little guys make a mess that he had to help clean up (foot prints). However he came home pretty excited about his "gold" coins.
Tess, Abby, and I headed over to celebrate the day with her preschool friends. Anie planned several fun activities and a festive lunch for the girls. It was a really fun morning.
After picking up Jake from school we headed to the park and stayed for 2 hours enjoying the nice weather. So, my dinner plans had to change. We had a quick green dinner, without the fun Breinholt tradition, and off to bed.
Although I didn't get many pictures of the kids we definitely had fun celebrating St. Patrick's Day this year!
Albequerque Visitors
This past week was Spring break for my brothers kids in Albequerque and we were lucky enough to be a part of their family vacation. Chuck, Kim, Rachel, Bekah, Charles, and Andrew had a fun-filled, very packed schedule but we were able to join them at Luray Caverns.
The cave had a self-guided audio tour. There was a special tour just for kids, and me.
Jacob LOVED being with the boys! Charles helped Jake use his headset to listen to each part of the tour.
Fried Eggs
Tess adores Bekah and loved sticking by her side.
Abby ohh'd and ahh'd in Dan's arms the entire time.
We ate lunch, toured a couple of museums there and finished the trip off with jelly beans! Tess and Jake have talked about their "best buddies" all week! It is always so nice to see family!
Cute Girls
WILD hair in the morning!
I came into the room to find this...Tess holding Abby while they watched a show together! It is rare that Abby is still long enough to sit on someone's lap let alone actually watch a show! I thought it was pretty cute!Abby eats very little from her own chair at dinner time, she prefers to get down and join her Da-da to help him eat his food. (The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...I use to do that to my dad!) Actually, Abby is pretty much done with the highchair all together. She wants to sit with the rest of us at the table.
