"Wah Wah, Let Me OUT!"

The news is out, I am pregnant (13wks). I thought I'd share how fabulous my little family has been over the last 7 SICK filled weeks! Man-o-man have I been sick. With Tess I lost some weight during the first trimester and wasn't surprised when the vomiting began this time. I definitely wasn't expecting this! Well, after losing 10lbs in 3 weeks I was put on anti-nausea pills and have since tried several different types. NOT FUN! I will just leave it at that!

Dan has been great! When he gets home from work he takes over! He has taken over the cooking and has cleaned the bathrooms several times for me! Tess and Jake adore their fun daddy! I am so grateful for his help!

Jacob - 6 months and smirking!

Jacob and Tess have been amazing and hilarious!! They both know the location of our big bowls and quickly run to get one for me! Jacob has loved keeping this a "surprise" (secret)! He is very interested in pictures and the development of the "smushed" baby! He told me one day, "Mommy, I know you are tired so, I'll put Tess down for a nap for you." He continued to tell me that since he is "big and 4 years old now, I will one day be a daddy!" He melted my heart! He took Tess to her room and read her books for about 35 minutes until I came in and made them sleep.

Tess, well she just makes us laugh! When we told her I had a baby in my belly she came super close to my belly, lifted my shirt, tilted her cute red curly head and said, "Mommy, the baby saying Wah Wah Let Me Out, Let Me Out!" I had a good laugh at that one! Everyone in our family has a baby in their belly now! One night this past month she woke up sick. As I was cleaning her up in the tub she joyously told me that the baby in her belly made her throw-up, "I'm just like you mommy!" The next day she insisted on carrying around a bowl everywhere she went.

Tess - 6 months and adorable!

So far I have just felt like a sick women instead of a pregnant women! Those days will end soon. To all you women out there who have felt horrible during pregnancy...I PRAISE you! We really are grateful to be pregnant and excited for this new little one to come!

April 2009!

Some of you may be wondering why it took me to the age of 28 to finish my BACHELORS degree?!

Well, let me explain. Cliff notes version:

I met Dan, who was finishing his MASTERS degree in the middle of my second year at BYU. When I told my mom I was dating Dan, who happened to be several years older than me, she had some concerns! One of which was that I would never finish my degree. She thought I'd get married, move away and have a family (just like her:) without completing my degree! Well, Mom was right! Except.....

After EIGHT YEARS and lots of craziness I have a Bachelors of Science in Marriage, Family, and Human Development. The best part is that I get to "walk" with my sister Liz and my MOM in April. They are graduating in MFHD as well so we truly will be walking together! So, be on the look out for more details on my fabulous sister and amazing mother, pictures, and the run down on a HUGE party in Provo!
