Jacob and Tess bursting with excitement to see if Santa Came?!

Okay, I have to explain a bit about the "Breinholt Culture" as Dan calls it. Our Christmas morning lasts all day thanks to endless yarn leading to presents and treasure hunts galore. But this year was a first...Dan's yarn led him to a treasure hunt! He had to sing songs for us filling in the missing lyrics at the end which led to another clue. Dan ended up finding a present with Lizzie's name on it....actually it was an iPOD for Dan.
This year everyone had yarn to follow and treasure to find (even Jake and Tess, which they loved!!) My 12 clue hunt (thanks Dan!) led me outside, across the street, and into the garage of our friends to find (drum roll please).....a TREADMILL! Yipee! Aimee, Grandma, and Liz had to show off their talents in order to get some of their presents. ( Don't worry you three, I won't include the video of you sining and doing the "can-can":)
We had a fabulous Christmas and are so thankful for Grandma Barnhurst, Aunt Lizzie, and Aunt Aimee! We hope you come again next year!!!

You're on a roll, aren't you? :) I want to hear more about your family tradition yarn thing! It sounds like so much fun!!
Love your warm, toasty fire, Dan! The treasure hunt sounds fun. We may have to try that one of these years. Your Tess is just adorable.
What a fun tradition, the yarn leading to presents! I love that each person has to perform talents in order to get another clue. Very creative and sounds like so much fun!
