Halloween

So, once again the kids are sick. There was no kissing of any pigs that I know of but the swine flu came to visit us for Halloween. Sadly all of our party'n plans were cancelled and we had to do our own thing at home. We had a great time carving/painting our pumpkins...

eating fractured tacos, and trick-or-treating around the house.
I have great memories of my dad being so funny as we had to trick or treat at home growing up. Dan was just as silly!
The kids laughed and laughed when....
Abigail answered one of the doors with treats.
But the best part was when Dan answered the door with....
a block of cheese and some sausage!
The kids laughed and laughed and laughed...

Even with high fevers we had a fun night.

Bummer that the kids were sick! I'm glad you made the best of it though. What I want to know is if Dan popped out of the door wearing a shower cap, that seems to be the one that Ken remembers most!

And I have never seen a cuter bumblebee. What a doll!

He's such a great dad! I'm sorry their sick again. Hopefully they'll feel better soon. Everyone around here that I know of that has had it says they've really only had a high fever for maybe two days & then they're back acting completely normal. Hopefully you can get some rest soon (b/c I know it keeps mom up!)

That stinks that they couldn't go trick or treating. Did you end up taking them to get tested for swine flu? Did they swab the nose or the throat? My nephew had to have his throat swabbed and just about gagged, but they only did the nose on Josh. Did the doctor give them any treatment? Sorry for all the questions - I feel like I barely ever see you and never know what's going on.

Glad to hear that you guys had a fun Halloween despite sicknesses! You and Dan are such fun parents! I am REALLY looking forward to your kids being healthy again! :) Elle started coughing the other day (just a little) but I totally started freaking out! What did you do for Abby when she had a cough?

We had the swine flu the same weekend! Bekah, Charles & Drew all missed the ward party on Friday but the older two were well enough by Saturday to go trick or treating for a while. Andrew never even put on his costume. We never got our pumpkins carved either but I was secretly glad because I'm loving the way they look on the porch and now I get to keep them until Thanksgiving! Miss you guys!
